Hi, my name is Helen. For the last five years I have been privileged to live in a most beautiful part of the UK with my husband, dog and cat. We have four grownup children. ]
In normal, non pandemic times I sing in a choir and play clarinet with an amateur concert band. I also play the saxophone. I write short stories and have just completed my first novel, Woven Threads, which is at the editorial stage. I also spend time walking our collie cross dog and gardening, both activities which lend themselves to contemplation and communion with God.
I’m a Christian. Like many people I have found the last few months challenging; watching our little grandson grow from a toddler into a little boy via Zoom has been bitter sweet. However time spent quietly in our rural home has given me more opportunity to read, think and pray for more prolonged periods. I am no theologian; the following reflections are simply the thoughts of sixty year old Christian woman as she continues her walk with God.
